Hunters Point Avenue Station

This project required extensive review, analysis and community notification which resulted in the successful submission and approval for permits. CARA worked closely with officials from MTA, LIRR and DOT to ensure the contractor could develop and implement a work program that would benefit the end-users of the 7 train, with minimal impact to local businesses, residents and institutions.

CARA was instrumental in coming up with an adequate design that would be acceptable to MTA and LIRR that resulted in the timely release of all the required permits necessary to start and finish the work safely and on time. One key role and responsibility included notification to the local community board, police precinct and EMS station.
